Principal casting in place for Stratford Festival


Casting of principal roles for the 14 plays in Stratford Festival's 52nd season has been completed, Artistic Director Richard Monette announced today. "We have built the foundations of a solid company featuring veterans, newcomers, and graduates of our Conservatory of Classical Theatre Training," said Mr. Monette, who in November announced the initial casting of 18 actors in key roles for the 2004 season.

Anything Goes: Carla Bennett as Chastity, Douglas Chamberlain as Elisha Whitney, Adele Mackenzie as Purity, Laird Mackintosh as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Jodi-Lynn McFadden as Virtue, David Mucci as Moonface Martin, Rhonda Roberts as Charity, Jason Sermonia as John and Julius Sermonia as Luke. Previously announced: Patricia Collins as Evangeline Harcourt, Cynthia Dale as Reno Sweeney and Sheila McCarthy as Erma.
