A Brief Synopsis:
Former manicurist "Nails" Duquesne is now a wealthy widow determined to fill her time with philanthropic ventures. She holds a national lottery to help her lawyer, Bob Hale, find the love of his life, whom he lost at age six when he shoved her into a waffle iron and branded her on the rear. To assist in the search, Nails and her perennial debutantes arrange for the parole of several prison inmates; the leader, Policy Pinkle, is a sentimental jailbird who resents his release from luxurious prison life. The Senate Finance Committee, hoping to use the lottery money to balance the national budget, eventually gets involved, complicating an already outrageously comical situation.
