Bio:
Michael Gruber (Riff) is thrilled to be performing again for the Music Theatre of Wichita. He has been seen on Broadway in the original companies of Miss Saigon and My Favorite Year. He was also the last Mike Costa in the final Broadway company of A Chorus Line. Regional credits include: Bill Calhoun in Kiss Me, Kate (Goodspeed Opera House), Whizzer in Falsettos (Alliance Theatre, Atlanta), George Musgrove in Little Me (Birmingham Theatre, Michigan), Joseph in Joseph...Dreamcoat (Alaska Light Opera) and Tom Marlowe in Good News!, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, and Don Lockwood in Singin' in the Rain (here at MTW.) He was also featured in our Valentine's show Songs of Unlikely Lovers. After West Side Story, Michael will again be reunited with MTW colleagues Linda Goodrich, James Rocco, Randy Rogel and Lara Powell for a reprise of Singin' in the Rain for the Paper Mill Playhouse. Michael has been involved in a four-year-plus collaboration of an original musical play, Hypatia, along with co-author Jennifer Allen.
